Absolutely thrilled with our story in last Friday’s edition of the Sun. Keeley is a very special girl indeed – knowing some children are poorly and don’t have hair, she decided to grow hers extra long so she could have a ceremonial, fund raising hair cut – and in so doing, not only donated her hair to charity but raised over £2000 too! We’re big fans of Keeley here at Phoenix… and we are delighted to hear that Lindy will be buying Keeley a much sought after trampoline with the proceeds of her Sun story. Watch this space for future features with Keeley, she’s not more »

Lynne thought Lorna was the best a friend could ask for – they met for lunch, they went shopping, they took their kids on adventures, their husband’s played golf… All along, Lorna was scheming. Unbeknown to Lynne, Lorna had set up a bank account in her name and was using it to scam thousands of pounds out of the bank. When the Fraud Squad finally suspected wrong doing, it was innocent Lynne who was thrown in jail. A thrilling story of lies and deceit. Lynne is a lovely woman and doesn’t deserve more »

Ellie’s story was simple – she’d cut off her long brunette locks and gone for a cropped peroxide look. And doesn’t she look beautiful for it? Essentials are always looking for real women (not models) to star on their cover so if you would like a hair stylist, make up artist and clothing guru to pamper you for a photoshoot, please let me know!

After her appearance in Bella and the Sunday Mirror, BBC Radio Four contacted me requesting an interview with Natasja. You can listen to it here. http://goo.gl/kNO49 at 09.53 minutes in. She does so well and doesn’t sound at all nervous, as I would be! A very good interview about the power of love. We have had This Morning also hoping for an interview with Natasja when she returns from America. She’s very much looking forward to a sofa session with Holly and Phil! Next stop, Hollywood? I’ll be fending off calls from more »

After a few years in foster care she was adopted, age four. A longing to know her roots never left Natasja, who spent every waking moment wondering who her real family were. She searched high and low for her long lost brother, eventually finding him serving a life sentence for murdering a drug dealer in America. Natasja didn’t flinch – Laurence was her brother and she still loved him. She more »

The magazines tend to work a few months ahead of schedule so when That’s Life magazine gave our client Susan a Christmas Life Line, we had to pretend Christmas had come early. Susan’s son, William, was born with Down’s Syndrome and in the early days, Susan felt like she was the only mum in the world with a child with special needs. So she set up a support group and now people all across the country are connected. That’s Life hosted a Christmas Party for William more »

We’ve no sooner recovered from Halloween and the sleigh bells start ringing. Well, at the magazines, Christmas starts even earlier. In fact, by the time it actually is Christmas, the magazines are commissioning stories about Valentine’s Day. By Valentine’s Day, we’re looking for summer holidays. It can all get very confusing. So right now, we’re looking for all things festive. We love stories about families experiencing a particularly happy time this Christmas, or funny stories about Christmas going wrong. Maybe you burnt the Christmas dinner or more »

The glossy monthly magazine asked me to write a story about my relationship with my sister, who has special needs, and I am always keen to champion how amazing she is, so I gladly accepted. I hope it will raise awareness about microcephaly and illustrate that people with special needs are very special people indeed. Plus, on Friday, I get to be pampered at a photoshoot in London. There’s even going to be a stylist (they probably saw my sense of style coming a mile off.) Essentials are more »
